Never ever even looked or paid attention to see the difference in the writing formats, if any, between a screenplay and a piece being written for tv like a sitcom, and don't think i ever noticed any real differences when i was acting and being sent scripts to read for auditions.
Hi,
I have a great idea for an animated children's show, and would like to pitch the idea to networks. What do I have to prepare? Is a proposal describing the idea and basic characters enough, or do I need an actual draft script and illustrations? If all I have is an idea (fleshed out, but still just an idea) - what kind of legal protection can I get before approaching an agent? Is there any chance that an agent would even listen to me? I am not a professional screenwriter...
Thanks!!
